This mission gathers book bags and school supplies to distribute to children in need. This mission also sponsors a first year teacher to help with the financial burden in supplying supplies for her new classroom.
It is our goal to educate children about Jesus and lead them to have a relationship with Jesus.
Our fall festival is a fun way to get children together and tell them about Jesus. We have interactive games and prizes and gives us an opportunity to let a child know that Jesus loves them. This past year due to covid we had to cancel our festival at the church but used the opportunity to distribute 100 Bibles in treat bags to children in daycares in our community.
The offering was started in 1895 by Woman's Missionary Union® (WMU) to benefit the work of the Home Mission Board (now North American Mission Board). In 1934, it was named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a bold missions advocate and WMU's first national executive leader. Today, more than $2 billion has been donated by Southern Baptist churches and individuals to support thousands of missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Because of this sacrificial giving, millions of lives have been and continue to be transformed by the power of the gospel.
Giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering enables missionaries to take the gospel to unreached peoples around the world. All donations goes directly to missionaries on the field.
